Ford Mustang Shelby GT350

The design of the Mustang GT350 was the work of Shelby American’s leading employee -- Peter Brock, who got the idea to make the Shelby GT350 white with blue racing stripes in order to tribute the famous race cars of Briggs Cunningham from the ‘50s. Peter Brock personally designed the new driving panel of the GT350 as well the “GT350” logo. Also, the fiberglass scoop on the hood of the car designed by him was one of the most stylish air intakes on cars of the time.

The 1965 Ford Mustang GT350 was first shown at a press conference in January 27th, 1965 on the Riverside racetrack. Next to the Mustang there were other cars such as the Ford GT40 and AC Shelby Cobra. The main sensation, however was precisely the Shelby Mustang GT350.

The heritage of the Mustang GT350 was not only the beginning of a magnificent close cooperation between the Ford Motor Company and Shelby American, which resulted in the production of many amazing cars, but also the personal glory among racing cars not only in the U.S., but in the rest of the world as well. The Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 was the brightest representative of a true sports car from that era -- fast, rough, loud and captivating the heart of the driver from the first moments of the driving.
