2006 Dodge powered by a 5.9-liter Cummins vs. 2007 Ford with a 6.0-liter Powerstroke under the hood.
If all things are equal other then that who is going to win? In this drag race both trucks launch in 4WD which keeps the match even. One big difference between these two hot beasts is the fact that the 2006 Dodge driven by Frank Ladd is fitted with a six-speed manual while Evo Mike’s Powerstroke is paired to an automatic transmission. Hypothetically the manual is able offer better performance in a drag race but this depends on the driver’s skills. On the other hand, automatic transmission can offer very fast and smooth gear shifting these days.
While the races are pretty close between these two drivers it is pretty clear that the Dodge has more top end speed than the Ford. The Dodge is easily able to pull past the Ford at the speed. Off the line the Ford is often faster but once the drivers are speeding down the road the Ford owner struggles to compete with the top end of the Dodge.
So prepare to watch a great truck drag race. What do you think, is this a fair match?
