Bill Gates, who for years now has been considered to be one of the richest people in the world today, owns a truly impressive collection of old and new cars. I really envy this man for having such amazing vehicles in his car collection, and I am convinced that every other car fan would be as well.

Next to making super cool computers and his impact on the poverty alleviation, Bill Gates is also known as a fascinated and passionate fan of beautiful cars. People have seen him in a 2008 Ford Focus, even as the Ford Motor Company had a funny exchange with him regarding the similarities of the computer and automotive industries.

Gates’ favorites are cars from one of the best German car manufacturers in the automotive history. You can probably guess the name already, it’s Porsche. He actually owns three of them: 1991 Porsche 911 Carrera, Porsche 930 and a 1988 Porsche 959 Coupe. He uses the 1988 Porsche 959 as his daily car.

If the Porsche 911 – which is rather an ordinary car, can be found in the garage of a wealthy American from any surviving midlife crisis, the second model of Gates’ Porsche 959 is a really rare car with its history. A total of 230 pieces of these cars were ever produced and each of them is worth $200,000. And in the US, this Porsche model quickly came under the ban because of inconsistencies and low environmental standards for safety performance.

Also, it’s obvious that Bill has a special place in his heart for the exotic Italian bulls. Among the various samples in his rich car collection, you can find several different models of old and new Lamborghinis.
