A brand new white Corvette C7 Z06 suffered some serious damage after it hit directly into a palm tree. The owner of this unfortunate Corvette Z06 probably wanted to show off a bit after leaving a late-night Cars and Coffee meet in Scottsdale, Arizona. The palm tree was treated at the scene for any injuries and released by the paramedics, but the Corvette looks like it’s probably a total loss.

The whole accident was caught on camera by some other people that were also present at the car meeting. The footage initially shows the C7 Corvette doing a burnout at a stop scene close to the parking lot where the event was being held.

The guy continued to pin the throttle through the intersection as the rear tires of the car fought for grip. Although the surface of the road was quite good, the Corvette’s 650 hp and 650 lb-ft coming from the wildly supercharged V8 engine was enough to set the rear end loose. The driver seemed to overcorrect the small wobble, steering the Corvette C7 Z06 across the lane and into a row of palm trees on the side of the road.

Although the actual moment of the impact was only caught by a low-quality camera, this was obviously a very brutal crash and just enough to heavily damage the front end of the car. In fact, the front bumper of the Corvette was completely ripped from it, leaving the poor Vette with lots of mangled and twisted wreckage across the street.

Luckily the owner of the car managed to avoid any injury thanks to the reliable airbags. As for the Corvette, that’s an entirely different story. Sadly, the owner will have to pay a fair amount of money for its reparations.
