Not every owner is passionate about his car and considers it as a family member and give the car a name. That’s not the case with Adam Martin who thinks that every car should have a name, that’s why he named his ’68 Chevy Camaro, Lucy.
This guy from Minnesota, Martin, bought the car in 1990 as a 16 year-old boy and knew nothing about cars and mechanics at that time, but the fact that he was passionate and enthusiast about his 68 Camaro changed his life. Not even restoring and keeping the car in good shape but choosing his life path and career also.
He didn’t restore so much on the Camaro’s body. He changed the hood, painted form dark grey to today’s color (as you can see on the video) and added some missing pieces in the interior (but he still doesn’t have a radio inside).
When he first bought the car it had a 400 cubic inch 6-cylinder small block engine 155 hp with Turbo Hydra-Matic 350 inside, but he built a custom 454 cubic inch engine with bnm quick silver automatic shifter, to fit the maximum under the hood.
Next he bought a Hooker Super Competition exhaust and put it on the car after the 7th try, yeah, he needed to figure out how to fit it and you will find out in the video. He hope that on the next reincarnation the car will get new heart, 3.0-liter V8 small block engine with 5-speed gearbox. For more details about this masterpiece 68 Chevy Camaro watch the video.
