There any few steps that you need to follow in order to complete the job in the proper way. The first and most important thing that you need to do is to degrease the rims, with some soapy water and a sponge, clean all the grease on them. After that make the surface smooth, so that there are no particles sticking out of the paint later.

Then you need to clean off the wheel, which means preparing it for painting. Then apply the primer, which is the first stage of painting. Then add the color on top and you are good to go.
