It may not be the most practical truck you will come across, but one thing is for sure: you will stand out in this custom 1979 Ford F-150 pickup truck and people will know when you’re around. Just for this reason it’s crazy cool!
The truck belongs to a guy called Mark Pollock of Missoula, Montana. This truck won the 2014 People’s Choice Award at Ignite the Nites 2014 Car Show organized by the Igniters Car Club of Libby, Montana.
Mark originally bought the truck back in 1979, drove a bit around town and a few years later he founded his company Blue Ribbon Auto Body, so as the shop grew bigger the truck ended up sitting there for a while. Then back in 2013, Mark decided to do something with this old machine and in the course of 7 months he finished with the restoration project. One of the most notable things about the truck is its linear activated hood, suicide doors and removable hard top. Unde the hood of this monster lies a Ford 460 bored racing block engine stroked to 542 cid, paired with a custom built C6 transmission.
In the end, the complete restoration cost him right around $204,000.
At the end of the video filmed by ScottieDTV we also get to see this truck driving a bit in the evening with flashy blue LED lights. This is definitely one of the best trucks that you need if you want to make people turn their heads. Some may like it, some may not. But it’s definitely a unique machine. Enjoy watching the show!
