Landmaster
The 1977 post-apocalyptic film Damnation Alley introduced us to the Landmaster. The Landmaster was a custom vehicle constructed by Dean Jeffries at Jeffries Automotive. Undoubtedly the most distinguishing feature of the Landmaster is its trinary wheel system. Each of the Landmaster’s “wheels” was itself composed of three wheels which rotated so the massive Landmaster was capable climb rocks and boulders. And all of this was quite real too. The vehicle was built by Jeffries Automotive to actually be capable of the feats in the movie.
