The County of LA Fire Department during the 40s and 50s used a 1947 Ford truck with half-ton panel.
It afforded place for two fire fighters. Rescue 11 was not used as an ambulance.
What makes this car far different from the Rescue 911 is the lack of CRP and portable defibrillators and civilian paramedics.
