The major target when it comes to the 2014 Corvette Stingray, Chevrolet undoubtedly admits that it is the 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera S, both in comfort and performance. The C7 team followed this Porsche during the development of the C7. The Carrera is equipped with a PDK transmission.
The Porsche is a bit more expensive than the Chevy amounting $47,000 in add-ons ($8,520 go for carbon-ceramic brakes, whereas $4,050 for Porsche Active Suspension Management and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control). The $4,080 seven-speed PDK auto-manual transmission reaches price of $144,350. Though the Stingray is inexpensive in comparison to the 911, it is still within the reach of only drivers with a higher social status. Guided by the test car price list, the Z51 package is priced $2,800; the 3LT, $8,005; and the dual-mode exhaust, $1,195; which makes a total of $69,375.
