The hotly anticipated Lexus RC was finally displayed at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show stage. Has this Japanese vehicle met our expectations? Of course it has. And it even boosted them even more.

The Tokyo show exhibited both gasoline and hybrid versions of the RC. It bears similarities to the recently unveiled IS Sedan with some sportier features.

The new RC has a more aggressive look. There is a Lexus spindle grille, a cockpit designed for optimal driver and passenger enjoyment and the usual triangular headlamps.

The RC F is expected to be revealed a few months after the debut of the standard version. This will most likely happen at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.

The new RC coupe embodies a design language similar to the latest Lexus sedans. Apart from that, its contoured lines are more deep. The RC’s triangular headlamps are inspired by the LF-LC concept car and produce an “L” shape when the low beams are on.

In comparison with the IS Sedan, the RCCoupe is 1.4 inches lower, 1.2 inches wider, and drives on a 2.8-inch-shorter wheelbase. This appearance in combination with the two-door setup gives the RC a beastly image.

The aluminum wheels the RC rides on are either a five-spoke, 18-inch look or a 10-spoke, 19-inch style.
