After the launch of the Advanced Design Series Pickups in 1947 Chevrolet had prolific years ahead. The success resulted from the thorough consultation the Chevrolet team had with commercial and private pickup owners.

These Advanced Series were longer and wider.  They were produced in three sizes:  3/4-, half-, and one-ton, with cargo boxes 87 inches, 78 inches, and 108 inches long.

What these pickups have in common is the a standard 90-horsepower Thrift Master OHV six cylinder of 216.5 cubic inches which delivers 174 ft-lb. of torque.
