A New Ride: `46 Sedan

1946 Sedan

As Chick Koszis had once his “Bare Bones” `32 roadster stolen at the LA Roadster show in Pomona, California, he decided to follow Randy Clark`s advice and drive a cheaper car this time.

As Koszis would be joined by Clark during the trip, both of them set a goal of restoring a `46 Sedan Delivery and use it for the 3, 000 mile trip.

The old Chevy 305 motor was replaced by a brand new 350, 330 horse crate one. Moreover, a `39 Mercury tank was added and two independent fuel storages were made by dividing a 46-48 coupe/sedan gas filler door into the left rear fender of the sedan delivery.  The car got a 700R4 transmission.

Before starting the trip, both these guys are working on repairing the `46 steel brake lines and `46 vintage crud.
