The grand H1, H2 and H3 would not exist if it hadn`t been for grand Humvee`s existence. This vehicle does give up the fight. It is still doing a magnificent job for the U.S. Army.The Humvee, or AM General M1116 HMMWV (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle), will have served the U.S. Army for 30 years by next year. The army believes that it`s high time they put this vehicle to rest and replace it with a modern variant. That would have been a great idea, except if vehicles such as the MRAP and the Oshkosh L-ATV were cheaper.
