The Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton from the Mercedes AMG team took part in the festival program of the cult TV show Top Gear, which took place on the island of Barbados. One of the highlights was certainly the indicative race in which Hamilton had to compete with the famous master of rally and rallycross Ken Block. Well who would have thought? Lewis Hamilton and Ken Block together on one track, the first one inside the breakneck Fiesta and the second behind the wheel of his “formulaic” rocket. Epic meeting was held within the framework of the Top Gear Live Festival, held back in 2014 on the island of Barbados. At the Top Gear Festival held in Barbados, Ken Block confronted his “maniacal fierce” infernal machine Ford Fiesta against the Mercedes F1 W04 masterfully driven by the one and only Lewis Hamilton.
Of course, not without Jeremy, Richard and James, many famous guests (we cannot avoid to mention, Scott Speed, Tanner Foust and Nelson Piquet Jr.), a lot of fun, traditional autofootball and so on. But Ken and Lewis showed class in their usual manner. The first – with a bunch of smoke and a set of tricks (by the way, his donuts have twisted them both), while the latter – flying the track on the first space.
The race was not quite according to the standard rules, the drivers could move down the road, and this was done by Ken Block who performed various stunts. The main objective was to give the assembled audience and to all motorists a wonderful show which is exactly what the riders and the Top Gear team did.
See what happens when stand alongside a specially prepared Ford Fiesta ST Rally Cross car and a Mercedes-AMG F1 car on the racing track. Of course, this is only a spectacle, but you can definitely see some interesting moves.
In general, watch the video report from the event, and envy the Barbadians!
