Modular Mustang Racing from Camarillo, CA is making marvels of Ford factory engines.
They presented the 2010 Mustang as 10.5 Outlaw race car with Shelby GT500‘s 5.4L V8 twin-turbocharged engine stored under the hood. it can run 1/4 mile below in just 7 seconds and reach a top speed over 200 mph.
The new engine isn`t cut loose on horsepower and to Mark Luton, it will be able to pull an unbelievable 2,138 horsepower. This makes this Mustang the most powerful Mustang Coyote V8 in the world.
How they have accomplished the +2,000 horsepower?
MMR started off with stock aluminum block, Manley M2500 pistons, billet connecting rods, cryo treated Boss 302 crankshaft, race prepped and custom turbo camshafts as well. A set of Boss 302 Stage 3R ported heads were adjusted as well. A Roadrunner intake manifold went together with an Accufab throttle body of 105mm and a pair of massive turbochargers by Garrett – 80mm GT4508X.
A 1/4 mile in 7.02 second and a top speed of 202.55 mph reached is an amazing result.
