According to Alpha Performance announcement, the pre-facelift Mercedes-Benz program will soon get an upgrade program.
The pre-facelift E63 AMG corresponds to the optional AMG Performance Package. It is characterized with 546 bhp (409 kW) coming from a bi-turno V8 5.5-liter engine. The output was successfully increased to 850 bhp (634 kW) and 900 lb-ft (1, 218 Nm) of torque.
This is the outcome of a total turbo upgrade involving replacement of the Garet ball bearing center cartridge with their in-house unit resulting in less flexible segments, and quicker advance.
The complete Alpha Performance Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG will be able to run 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h sprint in 3.3 seconds, 0-100 mph (0-161 km/h) in 6.6 seconds, and the 60-130 mph (96-209 km/h) in 6.58 seconds. In 10.7 seconds at 135 mph (217 km/h) a ¼ mile will be run, whereas with 164.5 mph (247.74 km/h) the speedometer read a ½ mile.
This upgrade is accordant with the next models: 2012+ GL63 AMG, 2012+ CL/CLS63AMG, 2012+ SL63 AMG, 2012+ ML63 AMG, and 2011+ S63 AMG.
