The tuning studio Switzer Performance could not possibly be measured with the laurels of the masters from AMS, who make one record after another with their modifications for the Nissan GT-R, so their project in 2012 called R1K-X “Red Katana” should pacify the fervor of the competitor. Engineers from Switzer Performance took as a basis the standard powerplant from the Japanese supercar and from it created “something” which is capable of delivering outstanding power of 1400 hp!
The list of improvements is so impressive that we can only describe some of them: new turbines, racing air manifold, PKG cooling system, SS90 racing exhaust system, as well as the Syvecs control unit, which allows to control the power, thereby reducing the chances to break at the start of the drive. The aerodynamic body kit of the Switzer Performance GTR R1K-X consists of a splitter in the front bumper, hood, side skirts, a rear bumper with diffuser, trunk and roof. All of the details of the new body kit are made of carbon fiber and designed to improve the downforce of this missile.
