4. Maintaining two or three locks for your bike can act as a way of distracting the thieves from hassling with your vehicle. The main point is that the more difficult you will make it look for stealing, the lesser will be the chances of any thief getting around your bike.

5. Avoid locking your bike to any tree. It will not only damage the tree but will also definitely provide an easy option for a thief to cut through in the case of any tree which easily fits into U-lock. Try to keep a rigid locking system by chaining your bike around a rod or a steel handler.
