The Golden Gate to Hollywood Rally is a unique drive created for sports cars and European performance cars. During the course of three days, it runs from San Jose finishing in Hollywood.
However, during the rally in July 2013 happened an unfortunate tragic accident. That was a very sad day for one particular Nissan GT-R, and especially for a Mercedes Benz C62 AMG. These two gorgeous cars have been involved in what turned out to be a freak accident in California, during the Golden Gate to Hollywood Rally in July 2013. During the rally the driver of the GT-R lost control of the vehicle and veered off the dusty road landing in a ditch at the end of which was a big drain pipe, and finally ending rolled upside down. To be the tragedy even greater, his great GT-R was equipped with a Switzer P800 tune kit. Luckily the driver and the passengers in the car managed to escape on time without any serious injuries.
After the GT-R went over the embankment and landed upside down, the driver of the black C62 AMG stopped and ran over to the rescue the unfortunate passengers in the GT-R. Because of the high temperatures in California present at the moment a brush fire began to engulf the AMG resulting in the two great cars lost during the rally. According to reports, it was the hot brakes that started the fire in the grass, resulting with the AMG engulfed in big flames.
