I present to you the robotic ballistic shield (RBS1) “SWAT-Bot”. This shield was produced by the company Howe and Howe Technologies, Inc, from USA in 2010. It is used as an armored shield, and as a battering ram in order to eliminate vehicles and other debris from the path.

The concept of robotic ballistic shield (RBS1) or the “SWAT-Bot” was created in collaboration with the State Police of Massachusetts. It is based on the robot RS1 on the basic platform of which are mounted folding armor shields and ram-shield made of hardened steel AR400 at the front. The shield protects the operator and the Special Forces team from the bullets of AK-74 / AKM and debris in full growth.

The SWAT-Bot is also foldable for easy transport, works on a remote control and is designed to pass any difficult terrain. The construction of the shield is made of steel A440f, aircraft-grade aluminum and composite materials.
