In Venice are banned cars and Livio De Mark is driving the Ferrari – but one made of wood! He had no money to buy a real Ferrari, and spent five months making this amazing vehicle in which he placed Yamaha engine for boats to be able to float with it in the water.
The Italian artisan Livio De Marchi noted that Venice is slowly becoming the racetrack with a large number of noisy and powerful ships and boats, and as a critique of this trend, decided to construct a wooden Ferrari F50 which he cruises in the Italian city on water. The creator of this unique vessel Livio De Marchi said that this was not his first project of this kind and that he has previously made a 1937 Jaguar, Wolksvagen Beetle and Mercedes that are also able to float.
The dexterous craftsmen spent five months carving a large piece of pine and created a 900 pound replica of the Ferrari F50 on which he hung a Yamaha marine engine. De Marchi says he is now “a proud owner of the only car that can be driven in Venice.”
