Absolute record! The sixteenth edition of the rally event Prealpi Master Show, scheduled on weekends between Sernaglia and Farra in Italy, had enrolled 150 racers. Gabriele Favero and Motoring Club, organizers of the rally, inform that the event had more participants than ever before: “It’s incredible – says Gabriele Favero, these days we had so many members and is a real satisfaction.”

What is the secret of their success? According to Favero – different. “I think, certainly the relationship we have always established with the racers, which we feel good; the festive atmosphere that reigns despite the intense competition; some facility for the team; the welcome given to our guests, who come from outside the region to participate in our event. “

And the invitation of Favero and Co. for  two also old  Finnish rally friends: Juha Kankkunen, the rally legend who was in the race again, driving a Citroen Xsara, and Mikko Hirvonen.

The presence of Hirvonen, with a dozen years among the leaders of the world, has a special meaning: he raced with the same Subaru Impreza (then owned by the Motoring Club) which has taken the first steps outside Finland, winning a place in the world, and even for the occasion, with the then navigator Jarmo Lehtinen, he wore the suit and helmet of that time. But above all it was his last rally before the announced withdrawal.
