The Cummins ISX diesel engine replaced the popular model engine Cummins N14 in 2001, when its production ceased in 2000. Cummins ISX is a 6 cylinder in-line engine with volume of 15 liters. This motor is very well established in the US truck market. Companies such as Freightliner, Volvo and Paccar, use this engine in their tractors from 2000 to the present day, from 2002 the second year of the engine was equipped and modernized with EGR system, which led to lower CO emissions into the environment.
Benefits of the Cummins ISX engine are: increased service interval, a built-in motor brake, interbrake, with adjustable power between 400 and 600 horsepower. The fuel injection system is with more than 2000 bars, which allows you to completely burn the fuel in the combustion chamber, due to which this engine is more economical and environmentally friendly.
This particular one shown on the video below is 2010 Cummins ISX 450ST with power of 450 hp at 1800 rpm presented at full operation by the U.S. truck parts company Camerota Truck Parts.
