These guys, “The Slow Mo Guys” made really simple explanation and you won’t believe the outcome. They took a BMW 2 series convertible, and put on the test. The test is crossing through section of artificial rain with speed of 100 mph while the roof is opened.

You just need to notice the driver’s face when he is in the middle of the rain, he was expecting to get wet but on contrary, not even a drop on his face, of course because it was small section of rain, but imagine a ride of few hours on rain, the car will fill with water.
