This man seems a bit too bored of his old routine of driving around and steering each time his Case Quadtrac needs to make a turn.

So he decides to make it automatic. In the meantime he can be seen performing tasks such as filing his nails, or taking a scenic photograph of the field. I mean it is not often that you find someone being able to solve a crossword puzzle or chat up their friends while operating a 400 horsepower Case Quadtrac tractor! His setup features a grid which outlines which parts of the field are covered, forcing him to only take a single turn as the tractor continues to steer itself in a straight line. In the meantime, this farmer is balancing tools and tossing paper planes to pass the time, clearly enjoying his time rather than being bored.

Although at the end of the video, you can tell that all of his stunts are failing to catch his attention as he has simply fallen, or at least pretended to be, asleep. Do you think auto steering is safe and smart? Judging by this video it’s definitely not for everyone. 🙂
