There is no comparison when it comes to the good-old truck diesel noise, yeah, those engines screams like they are going to leave the ground but actually they barely accomplish to reach 40-50MPH! Isn’t that amazing, riding and old-school ruck at full throttle?

It is more than amazing, it is evergreen classics but very rare to find one of these especially with 453-T Detroit Diesel! But for our luck we managed to find one and that with twin stick shifting, yeah, 1950 GMC truck.

The 4 in the engine description is for the umber of the cylinders and the 53 is the displacement per cylinder! The engine is like an oven, the higher the temperature the more horses he can bake! At 60 degrees Fahrenheit he can bake 140HP and 280lb-ft of torque, while turbocharged he can deliver amazingly 175HP!

Just watch this engine on the 1950 GMC truck screaming and the sound of the turbo, it is something precious. If you want to ride one of these first you need to take a course at NASA on the topic “How to use simultaneously the shifters”.
