You have probably heard of JF Launier for his custom-made 1964 Buick Riviera nicknamed ‘Rivision’ that won the Ridler Award. For this year’s SEMA Motor Show, the people at JF Kustoms took a very nice approach while applying their extensive revisions to a 1967 Pontiac Acadian. They unveiled this cool car in the BASF display at SEMA 2015.
Essentially this is the Canadian version of the Chevrolet Nova. Unlike its U.S. counterpart, the Pontiac Acadian incorporates some higher-end touches. The skilled guys at JF Kustoms gently refined the original trim with some design elements made by Brian Stupski at Problem Child Kustoms. At front, you will notice the GTO or Tempest-style grille, and the whole body is adorned with lovely BASF custom RM Onyx HD paint. Inside the car, there are Katskin leather seats installed, while under the hood lies a GM LS3 powerplant capable to deliver 550 hp. Sum all that and you end up with the latest and quite impressive creation of JF Launier. For this machine of his, JF has come up with the nickname “Andiamo,” which in Italian means “let’s go.” I’d say JF wanted the car to invite people for a ride. Very cool thought, right? 🙂
