This is a great day for the 1965 Ford Galaxie, the test day has come and it is performing even better than expected. That’s why the owner decided to treat us with a video of his ride and now we want even more out of it. He has bought and build this 1965 Ford Galaxie for his own purposes and needs but he likes to brag about it too. As he had claimed the 5.9 diesel Cummins engine is starting to smoke black as the coal rollers all the way in third gear which is not shown in the video. But as we can see even in first and second gear there is too much black smoke coming out of the exhaust.
The coal rollers are the same machines as the normal cars or the 5.9 diesel Cummins engine, it doesn’t have to be a coal roller. It is just the tuning that has been done on the engine and now it is generating less HP in order to produce the black smoke. Having black smoke out of the diesel engine means that there is too much fuel going to the engine and not being burnt all the way, it is just spit right out. Tweaking it and easily the owner could get 500+ HP out of this great diesel Cummins engine.
There has been a lot of work put on the 1965 Ford Galaxie and even though it is not so popular in the races, this vehicle is long loved by the Ford followers. There have been many attempts to make a drag racer out of the Galaxie but because of the weight all the tries have been unsuccessful. Now maybe this particular one can make it to the drag strip and win some money, just tweaking is required before entering.
