When making a drift kart with the Nissan SR20DET there is one thing to keep in mind: safety. The safety is the most important thing when you have this awesome kart that has that powerful engine to drive it. It is no joke when you rev this beast and that’s why you need to be sure that the kart can stand all the pressure that is coming. Also the arms and the suspension of the vehicle have to be strong because with the burnout and with the drifting they tend to break a lot on the karts.

The host from the YouTube channel 1320video is clearly surprised to see the kart with the Nissan SR20DET  power and he is asking the owners if they built it themselves. The answer is positive because no other man could build this and drive it too, even if you paid the shop to make it for you. It is basically a cage for safety, like the roll bar cage on the monster trucks, and it has wheels and engine on it. Not so great design but we are not here to see great body, the power is the main attraction on this vehicle.

It is the rear wheel drive kart because they need it for drifting only, nothing else. The front wheel drive would be a total miss for the kart. It is pretty fast for what it is and all of that is because of the Nissan SR20-DET engine that has been installed on it. Before this they had a different engine and transmission but after they saw the potential of the vehicle they have decided to muscle it up. Now they have ended up with the perfect drifting kart that is able to drag race as well. Aside from the missing chassis, it is a nice vehicle to drift and race with.
