VR6 Engine Explained And Disassembled: ONE OF THE BEST Engines VW Ever Made… THE SOUNDTRACK OF MY YOUTH!!!

If you have been wondering about the VR6 engine and how it works, well now we have the best explanation that is going to make everything crystal clear for you. It has been developed by the Volkswagen Company so the name vr6 has German roots on it too. Well they needed to leave some mark on it and now they are known worldwide for this one. The meaning of the VR6 is that the engine is V styled and the R stands when translated from German “inline”. So now we got the name straight and we already know what it is. The VR6 engine is the V style inline engine and now it doesn’t make sense already. It is so because the cylinders are placed parallel on the block but they are three-three combination, each on one side. That’s why it is referred as V style engine and as inline engine too.

It will be much better for you when you see the disassembled example engine on the video, as the picture is worth a thousand of words and the video is ten times that. We have also a diagram of the VR6 engine too and we will show the working process of it too. It gets much more interesting when we get to the crankshaft of the engine as we have never seen a similar one in any other engine, not even at the rotary engine comes close to this one.

Moving the cylinders up and down in pairs is the same like the inline six cylinder engine and there is no difference there. Also the firing process is the same as that one, so only the places and angles of the cylinders have been changed here. The VR6 engine is a masterpiece of the German engineers, you better get familiar with it.
