IMPRESSIVE STREET RECONSTRUCTION Of Tverskaya In Moscow With 8000 Tons Of Asphalt Laid On More Than 32,000 Square Meters IN JUST ONE DAY!

This summer, in the center of Moscow was held a large-scale reconstruction of the central streets. This video shows the accelerated work on the Tverskaya street and Pushkin Square. It is reported that about 8000 tons of asphalt mix was laid on an area of over 32,000 square meters.

The working on this street involved the engagement of 300 work units. The asphalt on the Tverskaya Street and Pushkin Square was laid in a single carpet, without any adhesions. The technology that was used is supposed to increase the service life of the street. The reconstruction work of the main street in the capital of Russia was done as part of the reconstruction project “My Street”.

The main result of the reconstruction has been a significant expansion of sidewalks, sometimes up to 3 meters, and a reduction in the roadway. In addition, the entire section of the street from Moss to Pushkin Square on the sidewalks of asphalt was replaced with tiles. The space for pedestrians became much larger. Telephone booths have been removed, which have been used for advertising, various payment terminals, preventing the passage, and some bus stops were also moved. In the future on the new places are about to be installed bus shelters with Wi-Fi and electronic scoreboards, informing about the time of arrival of transport means.

Many trucks and construction machinery (300 units in total) were engaged in paving the most frequent street in Moscow – Tverskaya. About 8,000 tons of asphalt laid on an area of about 32,000 square meters, and the whole reconstruction is realized in just one day. Tverskaya street was blocked for a day, during which time 300 “iron Pokemon” did one hell of a job.

We have to admit this is one impressive construction performance. We have seen before amazing capabilities and skills shown during construction work. An astonishing example of that is the refurbishment of more than 1300 tons of new surfacing for the Sanyuan bridge in Beijing a year ago which was finished in just 43 hours. That is what you call truly super-fast!
