The company Lamborghini is developing an electric hypercar. The secret project for this new car will be called Vitola. It is reported by the German publication AutoBild. The Lamborghini hypercar will be built on a modular chassis J1, which is the basis of the concept electric vehicle Porsche Mission E, debuted in late 2015 at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
It is hard to imagine the fact that the iconic sports car Lamborghini has really caught on to the E-Power, but according to the latest loud rumors even the impossible could become a reality soon. The German colleagues from Autobild are convinced of the power loaded into the future plans of the Volkswagen group. Behind closed doors, it is said that the Lamborghini Vitola could take the drive out of the Porsche Mission E. If so, then four electric motors would make enough power for the Lambo to accelerate from zero to 100 in 2.5 seconds and allow a maximum speed of over 300km / h.
From Porsche Mission E the hypercar Lamborghini will also get a quick battery charging system. Recall that specially for the prototype has been developed a 800-volt system recharging the battery which is able to replenish their stock of up to 80 percent in just 15 minutes.
It is not yet specified when should be the debut of Lamborghini Vitola, is not specified. It is expected that the hypercar will be released as a limited edition, the number of which is also yet unknown.
As fast as Formula 1 -- but electrically: with this secret project “Vitola” Lamborghini aims to drive in the parade with hyper cars of the caliber of Koenigsegg.
In addition, the Italians are planning a four-seater based on the model of the successful Porsche Panamera. A car is not necessarily only for best, but of course still of high earners.
We can’t wait to find out more how the two new Lambos could look like and what technology should inspire the missiles.
