When buying a new car you don’t even think about the car suspension or the kit that it has. Just as long as the drive that you are getting is good then you don’t worry about it. But what when the bumps start feeling like they are deeper than they really are? Then you will want to know more about the suspension on the car and you will start looking for some answers. And this is exactly what we have here, the car suspension explained, how it works and how it is making every ride that you take more comfortable and better.
Now the host from the well-known YouTube channel Engineering Explained is going to explain a lot more than this and that’s why it is beneficial to watch the video until the end and to see why the car suspension means a lot for the people driving in it.
So what is the point or the goal for the suspension on your car and why it is there? We have three goals that the suspension is achieving while driving and we bet that you have never thought about this. The first goal of the suspension is the COMFORT. This is what really matters to the driver and to the people that are being transported in the vehicle. This is a criteria when the car comes to be graded, the more comfortable the ride the better. The other one is the contact goal. You want to have the all four tires of the car touching and having grip on the ground so the car suspension is allowing you to have that. And this is what leads us to the last goal, which is the control. While having contact you will have control as well. It is much easier to control the vehicle when the four tires are on the ground, easier to steer and easier to accelerate or brake too.
