CHEVY VS FORD: Comparing The STEEL BED Of The Silverado To The ALUMINUM BED Of The Ford F-150! SEE HOW THEY HELD UP!

There were a lot of commercials Chevy vs Ford, if you remember those with the cages but this one is finally real with real people, not actors. The crew took two new 2015 Chevy Silverado and 2015 Ford F-150 in a hangar.

On this test, they won’t test the performances of the vehicles but the bed endurance. We already know that these diesel trucks are durable and trustworthy, and we’ve seen dozens of tests where they proved what they are made of.

This Chevy vs Ford test will only challenge the beds in two ultimate tests. The first test will be throwing concrete blocks in the beds at almost 1 meter height. After that the concrete blocks we’ll be removed and the crew will inspect the beds for any changes which occurred at the moment of landing in the bed.

We must say that we are a little disappointed because the aluminum bed couldn’t hold it with the steel Chevy bed and failed the first test. Yes, there were holes on the Ford’s aluminum bed while the Chevy’s steel bed had only major scratches.

The second test was throwing an empty tool box with sharp edges. This one is more realistic because it’s an everyday situation, of course not that you are loading your tools on that way but you can forget it on the bed side while you are going back to your garage to pick up something else. And the next scenario is obvious, the box falls on the truck bed floor.

Again this Chevy vs Ford test won the Chevy because the steel bed passed only with scratch, while the aluminum bed gained new hole. What the full test below and think twice before you buy your favorite aluminum truck.
