“In 1979 I removed the back seat for cleaning, and I remember finding a build sheet. Not knowing what it was, I’d thrown it out. When disassembling it, I found a partial build sheet behind the glove box door and under the carpet, and I found a good build sheet under the passenger-side bucket seat. I got lucky”, says Dale.
Together with the fender tag, the build sheet were spelling out what his 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T had been built with, the E 55 and H5F7 green vinyl/plaid cloth seats with carpeted door trim panels included too.
So as you can imagine, the whole restoration process did not happened over night, but it took five hard working years. Dave had to wait Goodmark and AMD to start reproducing a certain parts of the car, like the door leather. Another problems occurred when other parts did not fit or weren’t accurate, so he was forced to do an extra work and time to repair them properly.

Dale is telling us that credits for the successful transformation of the iconic 1971 Challenger R/T from barn filler to a show winner car are going to two shops.
