Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR Is Packing Its Bags…Its Manufacturing IS OFFICIALLY DEAD! We’ll Have A Few SPECIAL EDITIONS As Keepsakes!!!

You read it well, the title is correct, the current Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR is officially dead with the FCA sign. The modern muscle car production soon will be terminated, after the limited editions series are released.  We will get back to the limited series, but first let’s see the main reason why this beautiful muscle car will remain just a history in the US automotive world.

FCA “tried” to find a reason to economically support the production but as they said all the facts didn’t add up. From here it seems that it’s more our responsibility why the Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR will become a keepsake. Wanted or not, after the release of the special editions this car’s nature will transform from a wild muscle beast to collector’s puppy. At least we can still see it driving it around but the consequences are going a little deeper than that.

After the economic crisis in 2008 this is another blow for the Detroit manufacturing industry.

If we go through the numbers the first Dodge Viper roll out of the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit, Michigan in 1992, and since then 30.000 pieces were sold. Once we witnessed a two years break in the production from 2010 to 2012 and the moment we thought Dodge finally handled the sales of his beasty Viper we got disappointed.

As we said on the beginning the limited editions series of the Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR will be the official encore for the brand and the “widow maker” will proudly enter the US automotive history. The editions are named by its legendary accomplishments: Celebrating Laguna Seca record 1:28 Edition, Commemorative GTS-R ACR, VoooDoo II Edition ACR, Snakeskin GTC Edition and Dodge Dealer Edition.  The orders are opened from 24th of June.

What do you think about this situation, is there any hope to have it back or this is our final goodbye?
