DRIFTING WARS: TOYOTA GT 86 Sets a New DRIFTING WORLD RECORD!

I think that most of the drifting fans will agree with me if I say that it looks like there is a drifting war out there between the big car manufacturers. We all remember well that during the last year, BMW set a new Guinness World Record for the longest drift, drift-driving for 51.3 miles around the skid pad in South Carolina, during the BMW Performance Driving School. That result was better for seven miles from the previous record, but the German driver Harald Müller was obviously not really satisfied with that, so he decided to stir thing up with his Toyota GT 86.

It happened in Samsun, Turkey, where Harald was doing rainbow drifts for entire 89.95 miles with his Toyota GT 86, or Scion Fr-S as it is better known here in the US. From what we could find out from the official Guinness World Records website, the German driver was drifting whole 612 laps, and he did it in ‘only’ 2 hours and 25 minutes.

Here we have a video with short version of his achievement, so watch it and I hope you will like it. Anyway, do not hesitate to tell us what you think about it.
