Here is a special treat for all of our fans of Dodge Ram trucks. On this video we see a 2007 Dodge Ram that has a turbocharged 6-speed Cummins engine under its hood and which is also fitted with an aftermarket exhaust brake by Jacobs. The Jacob’s brakes help the engine to be turned into a big air compressor while no fuel is shot into the cylinders.

The owner thought it’d be a good idea to take out the Ram around the block for a short spin and show it off, with a camera placed inside the cockpit just for our and your enjoyment.

So we get a good treat with the lovely sounds of this ferocious truck and its turbo when it blows. Then the owner hits the button to slow it down. Unlike the Jacobs brakes in a semi-truck, this Ram doesn’t produce the signature sound of machine gun popping as the engine brakes, but nevertheless the pleasure of listening to it is all there.
