The rumors were confirmed that Ford is going to revive the former model of the Ford Bronco, which was produced from 1966 to 1996. On this matter for the edition of the Detroit Free Press spoke the head of the trade union UAW Local 900, Bill Johnson, representing the team of the Ford plant in Wayne, Michigan. It can be said casually: Johnson commented on the statement by the US presidential candidate Donald Trump, who accused Ford that the company moves the assembly of popular models in Mexico. Johnson said in response that cuts at the plant is not planned in connection with the development of the new models: the new Ford Bronco SUV and the mid-size pickup truck Ford Ranger.
Previously, Ford’s management has stated that in 2018 in the factory pipeline in Michigan will arise a “new product”, and in 2020 – another model. On this basis, we can assume that the new Bronco will share units with the next generation of the Ranger pickup, which will come later in the United States – when the current 2011 model sample will give way to a new generation. The first Bronco was based on the chassis of full-size Ford F-150 pickups, but now the relationship seems unlikely, since the company already has such a machine: the huge SUV Ford Expedition.
Will the next Bronco be three-door in the spirit of retro-futurism as a concept car in 2004, or something more ordinary, it is not known yet. But the owners of the Bronco6G.com website have already hastened to create computer renderings in the same spirit. First Bronco was only a three-door, but the next car for the sixth generation on the idea of an will compete with the SUV Jeep Wrangler, which has two-thirds of sales coming from the long wheelbase five-door model. So it is possible that the new Ford Bronco will have a five-door body. We just can’t wait to see the glorious comeback of the one and only Ford Bronco!
Now all we need is another football player to be accused of murder and run for 55 miles on this thing. What a publicity stunt!
Hahaha what a thought! I hope it doesn’t come to that my friend 🙂
So this will be the only Ford SUV whose name won’t begin with the letter E.
You also have the Ford Kuga Dennis 😉
