In 2013 Nissan GT-R AMS Alpha 12+ set a new world record for the maximum speed at a distance of 1 mile (1.6 km), being able to accelerate up to 382.16 km/h in just 22,538 sec.
In 2011 the tuning shop AMS Performance issued the upgrade kit “Alpha 12″, by which the power of the stock engine of the sports car was increased up to a total engine power of 1,309 hp. In the later tuning program by even stronger modification it was transformed into the “Alpha 12+” version, which, in turn, transformed the production of the model GT-R into the 1,700-strong Japanese beast.
Not so long ago this same car was able to accelerate up to 382 km/h and become the world fastest Nissan GT-R. For acceleration to 100 km/h it is only necessary 2.99 sec; for up to 200 km/h – 6.5 sec; and up to 300 km/h – 12.37 sec.
As you can see, with the 1 mile AMS Alpha 12+ handled for only 22,538 sec, while for the conquest of the ¼ mile (402 m) it took 9.447 seconds, while it was able to accelerate to 260.11 km/h.
In this video, which the DRAGTIMES team posted on its YouTube channel, shows that GT-R did not leave absolutely no chance of winning for such supercars like the 1.100 hp Porsche 911 GT2 9ff 4WD, the 750 hp BMW M3 ESS VT2 or the 760 hp Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Hennessey.
