PART SUBMARINE, PART AIRCRAFT: Rutgers University Researchers Have Developed A Drone That Flies AND Swims. SEE THE “NAVIATOR” DRONE IN ACTION!!!

What if drones could dive into the water too, instead of all the flying that they do? It would be a step forward in this technology, and somebody has just stepped up.

A team from the Rutgers University in New Jersey, has made the concept of a drone that is able to fly and dive underwater with no additional accessories. At any given point you can tell the drone to dive in the ocean and it will listen to your orders, with no hesitation.

The drone must be capable of holding its weight, with all the sensors and cameras that will be attached to it, but the team is on the right track and they will achieve it. There might be some problems with the communication while it’s under water, because in the water the radio waves are hardly transmitted, and the drone would have to stay in one place to listen to the commands from the person in charge. The drone would be used in oceans, seas and lake research, underwater of course.

It will have sensors to check out the pollution in the water, so it will do some good for humanity.
