Tom strongly believes that the keyto a successful performance at Drag Week is to set a goal and do everything you can and which is necessary to achieve that goal without letting yourself be distracted by competition or controversy. On the other hand, Tom is perfectly fine with failing in his mission, as long as he knows that he’s done everything he could and was needed to succeed. For him at Drag Week there is nothing but a person and his/her car; this is the only battle. His particular goal was to run a six second pass at every track. But, if some else would made a better record, that’s just fine with Tom. What’s very important for Tom is being honest and fair all the time during every competition. He says that he would never cheat, since he respects himself and the event itself too much.
