Together with Steve Morris they noted every parts failure in 2012 and made changes to avoid repeating those problems the next year. Also the guys did some testing in the off-season, rather than simply leaving the new combination to work out during the race week. Tom continuously points out testing the car in order to detect its weaknesses.And that’s what he did. He took the car racing locally, as well ascruisingwith it around town, a sight which surely made a big impression on the local residents in Lake Orion, Michigan. The police didn’t have any problems with the car, as in Tom’s view they love hot rods. If the police would stop a hot rod car, this would be just to see the great car.
