The fact that we are gearheads and we suppose you are too, makes us seek for incredible pieces of engineering which surpass our beliefs! That’s how we found the giant drag racing supercharger. This thing is large as the whole engine!
The father of this cool drag racing supercharger is professional drag racer with first generation Chevy Camaro from the 70’s. He had ups and downs in his career as we’ve noticed from the conversation on the video below. Once he changed his Camaro’s engine steel block with aluminum block to gain speed but on the very beginning on the race his car flipped on side.
After that moment he was thinking how to keep the car glued to the ground while speeding on the drag strip. Inventing the drag racing supercharger was not his super-glue idea but more like prove it yourself that you can make it. He ordered custom belts and mounted on the top of his engine.
And you won’t believe it if we tell you that he started that thing and wanted to make a pass but even from one press of the throttle the car front wheels lifted for one inch! Who know how much boost that alien was delivering to the engine!
What do you think, how much boost the drag racing supercharger as shown on the picture can deliver to the engine? Do you think that it’s possible to ride with this thing without blowing your engine on tiny pieces like glass?
We suggest to watch the video below and see what the owner has to say about it and how he made it. At the very end we must say that we are amazed from it, but it is such a lust we couldn’t see running and hear its sound!
