Despite attempts by Mercedes to lose weight by using aluminum suspension arms and pivot arms, composite boot lid and frame with a soft three-layer roof of magnesium steel and aluminum, the roadster still gained weight. Additional strengthening thresholds, windshield frame and space behind the seats has resulted in 1670 kg – making the roadster 55 kg heavier than the coupe, while the 1735 kg GT C Roadster is fatter than the GT S Coupe by much as 90 kg.
Incidentally, let’s say something about the soft roof. It goes up and down for 11 seconds at speeds up to 50 km / h and can be black, red or beige – combined with 11 exterior colors and 10 interior options. What about the price list? Pricing has not been announced.
