8 Second Trucks Are THE EXTREME COAL ROLLERS!! These Beasts Put Down Single Digit Passes During The NHRDA Diesel Nationals World Finals At The Texas Motorplex!!!

The 8 second trucks are coal rollers we say, because before they start they need to rev the engine, and that’s when the coal smoke comes out of the exhaust.

This black smoke is coming from the exhaust because the engine cannot burn all the fuel that is coming to the pistons, and it throws it away in smoke, but after few seconds, and some higher RPMs, the engine will start to burn the fuel at the highest efficiency, and that is when the power comes and it is unleashed.

There is no way to stop such a powerful engine at the highest RPMs. These trucks seen at the NHRDA Diesel Nationals World Finals are called 8 second trucks, because they are so fast that they finish the quarter mile run in just 8 seconds or less. This is quite a nice title to carry.

The 8 second truck is proud to finish the race in just 8 seconds, and only some of them can do it. It takes a lot of engineering and mechanical skills to perfect the art of horsepower, adding more power to the truck means faster finish of the race, and making a better place at the scoreboard.
