It’s no secret that the 2013 Nissan GT-R is a real sports car. Compared with the previous model, it has become more powerful and better managed. However, for fans of high speeds, even this may not be enough. In order to bridge the gap between the standard GT-R and specialized racing model, Nissan offers its customers a package of “Track Pack”. Sacrificing comfort for even more high-performance the car equipped with the Track Pack, will continue to be designed to drive on public roads and not specialized routes.
Externally, the most obvious difference in the Track Pack will be unique 6-spoke alloy wheels Rays, painted with glossy black paint. From a technical point of view, the cars equipped with the sport package, will receive an additional air vents in the front bumper and the rear of the body, thereby improving cooling of the brakes, upgraded springs in the suspension and lower landing.
As for the interior decoration, the front seats have been replaced with lighter, sports Recaro, and got rid of the rear of the car for the sake of weight loss. The central console is decorated with Track Pack icon. The engine and transmission have not underwent to absolutely no updates. The 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 still produces 540 hp, torque is transmitted to all four wheels through a 6-speed transmission with double clutch. The car accelerates up to hundred in 2.7 seconds.
Currently Track Pack is available only in Japan and the United Kingdom. This is probably due to the fact that the Track Pack was set up for the asymmetric suspension Nissan GT-R, which has so far been installed only on models with the right rudder. The design of the suspension was adjusted to compensate for the weight of the driver and the steering column, as in a racing car.
In the UK market with the track package the supercar is worth about $ 130,000 -- or $ 15,000 more expensive than the base model.
