Prepare for an adrenaline rush!
Marcelo Gutiérrez Villegas is one of the top urban downhill racers. At the age of three he had his first bike and by age six he was taking a part in BMX races. Since then he has entered and won multiple contests and races.
Now at age of 23 he is one of the best Colombian bikers. Having earned a sponsorship from Red Bull, this young biker has had his dream come true, to have his own team and to ride his bike for a living. Sit back and watch how this Colombian daredevil conquer the streets of Manizales for a high speed run through some challenging street-side obstacles. Taking the first place on the podium with his run, you can see and experience the breathtaking skills that this biker has. Freewheeling for most of the “fall”, with speed up to 50 km/h, it’s nearly impossible to ride on the streets of Manizales, but that was no problem for our skilled racer Marcelo. His bike was custom build by his father who is a bike enthusiast and also has his own a biker shop. This also shows where Marcelo has acquired the influence throughout his life, or as the saying goes, “like father like son”. On the side of the streets hundreds of fans can be seen cheering for Marcelo.
Downhill racing is an extreme sport which is not for the faint of heart, and only for those who love a new adrenaline adventure and who are addicted to living dangerously. It takes a great amount of bravery to sit on the bike and just let your senses take over the handles.
