I think that it is clear that most of you who are reading this article were far away, even as an idea of becoming a person who is living in this world back in 1968, but I would only say that no one out there should consider himself as a muscle car fan if he has not seen the legendary film with Steve McQueen from 1968 “Bullitt”! It is the movie that has set the standards of car chase scenes in a Hollywood flick, and it would also be safe to say that this was the film that made the Ford Mustang and Dodge Charger an iconic muscle cars, as we all know them to be today.

The famous scene of the battle between Steve McQueen’s 1968 Ford Mustang and that ominous looking black 1968 Dodge Charger, chasing each other on the streets of San Francisco is something that should be forever in every Gearhead’s memory, especially amongst the Dodge Charger fans. That was the moment when the legend about the Charger was first born, two years before Kowalski’s 1970 Dodge Challenger from the “Vanishing Point” (another classic all American muscle).
